Roy Ward Baker. Actor, Director. 1916-2010. An assistant director in British films since the mid 1930s, Baker began directing documentaries after World War II. His sense of realism carried over into his narrative features, most notably Inferno (one of several American-made films Baker helmed in the early '50s) and A Night To Remember.
